What Exactly Is Synthetic Grass?

There is something very beautiful about a fresh cut lawn.  Whether you're throwing a ball around, lying in the shade, or,just sitting outside on a war, night.  A green lawn is a small pleasure.

Lawns are also an environmental nightmare if you live in a dry climate, such as California. Some people have opted for the default xeriscaping.  If you don't water, you don't have to mow.  But it's not pretty.  The weeds start to take over, and people stop picking up after their dogs.

Synthetic grass is not AstroTurf, exactly, but long, smooth blades of grass that look exactly like real grass.  It is laid down like a carpet, over prepared ground.  It can typically pay for itself in about 8 years.

They roll out the lawn in sheets, so cleverly that it's impossible to see the seams or the darts at the corners.  It looks like the worlds most pristine sod.  You can get synthetic lawn that's late-summer long, or putting-green short, or somewhere in between.  You can get dark or light green, based on the grass that grows near you.
